Stories & Spotlights
Charlotte is already talking about what Charlotte Center for the Arts is doing!
Artists Are Saying...
We have been trying to advocate for an idea like this for at least 10 years so it’s exciting to see some energy around this topic. The number of performance ensembles that we talk to in town that are restricted because of lack of venues in this community is staggering. Let alone these venues, charging outrageous costs to these nonprofits that can barely stay afloat as is, our community needs something just like this.
I could not be happier or more proud that someone is taking on this challenge. This means so much to our city and I am THERE.
Just grateful! Our city and arts organizations need more performance venues!
This is an on incredible opportunity for the Charlotte and surrounding areas. As a small studio who prefers to put on shows (character and story driven), not just general recitals, as well as shows that benefit non-profit community partners, this would be a dream come true.
The Community is Saying...
We would support and attend opportunities closer to Ballantyne. Thanks!
Arts bring culture and interest and education. Not much support here for artists to work or show. The city needs to support artists like they do sports. Support local and buy local art...so our community understands why art is important.
Studio spaces or spaces where visual artists can work on their art even if not their personal studio is desperately needed in Charlotte. Only makers space in NODA is available for those without personal rented studio spaces.
