Olivia Penza
Vocal Performer
Olivia is a young singer from Charlotte, North Carolina, with a passion for music and performing. She has gained valuable live performance experience by singing at a variety of community and cultural events throughout the Charlotte area.
Olivia has performed at multiple Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) events at the Bank of America Corporate Center in Uptown Charlotte. She has also performed at the Charlotte Dragon Boat Festival, giving her the opportunity to share her voice with diverse audiences and large community gatherings.
Olivia's musical journey began with piano lessons at The Arts Center for All with Ms. Miyoung Kim. While teaching Olivia piano, Ms. Kim discovered her natural singing voice and encouraged her to explore her talent as a vocalist. Olivia continues to study piano and develop her vocal abilities under Ms. Kim's guidance.
Through her training and performance experiences, Olivia is building confidence, expanding her musical skills, and learning how to connect with an audience through music. She is excited to continue growing as a young performer and to share her love of singing with others.

ABOUT CHARLOTTE CENTER FOR THE ARTS:
Charlotte Center for the Arts (CCA) is working to address a critical gap in South Charlotte’s cultural infrastructure. This area is one of the fastest-growing parts of the region and is continuing to expand rapidly—yet it lacks dedicated arts facilities, forcing residents and artists to travel long distances or go without cultural experiences. City and County studies have identified the urgent need for accessible, affordable arts spaces outside Uptown. Community feedback reinforces this, citing limited rehearsal, performance, and exhibition venues as a barrier to participation.
We are responding by activating underutilized spaces to meet immediate needs for creative programming and affordable venues, and then opening a Community Arts Hub to provide a more permanent solution. Long term, we are advancing plans for a 100,000 sq. ft. flagship campus that will serve as a cultural destination and provide performance halls, studios, galleries, and gathering spaces—ensuring South Charlotte has the cultural infrastructure necessary to match its growth and deliver equitable access to the arts for all residents: artists, students, and patrons.
